EARP,CA

We packed up,went for breakfast and then checked out of Palm Springs just before the crack of noon.

It was another fantastic day of sunshine and we arrived in Earp in time to enjoy some.

We are parked on the California side of the Colorado river looking at Arizona.Don't start looking for the sunken ship,we saw that in Hawaii.This is looking left.

The only people we know

here so far is Cookie and Clyde

And of course there will be boats,some with a view even.

A Lazy Day

Twas a lazy one.

We just laid around the pool all day.

Mr Moose almost hung himself but other than that........

Oh ya! I had to drop by the grocery store to pick up some bread.I ended up buying more beer as they had 30 cans for $16.99 and for 1 cent more you got 24 bottles of water.It was a American penny but still a good deal.
What a Country.

Golfing

It was another awesome day so we went golfing.We took Mr. Moose along but he was pouting about something so we left him in the car.We played at Cathedral Canyon and had to pay the big bucks this time-$35.00 ea. with cart.

After about 6 holes we caught up to another couple and joined them for the balance of the round.

Guess where they were from? Your close,they were Barb and Gary from Mameo Beach Alberta(close to Edmonton)



A good time was had by all.I shot ok but it was Peggy's turn to suck.



We noticed this sign on the course.

Who the hell brings their fishing rod golfing?

Cruisin

After picking up my chompers we went cruisin.
We basically were looking for other campgrounds in this area that take 3 dogs and can take our coach.
Not too much to choose from.We are trying to stay as close to Palm Springs as possible and it appears this is the closest that we like.

We had a great lunch at a California Bistro on the River(man made)
The River was also man made.

Next thing you know it's 3;30 and we still have to stop at Wally's on the way home

Nothing much changes there!

Cracked

Cracked
My Denture that is.
Great big crack.
Spent all morning trying to find a place to get it repaired reasonably.
Not going to happen.In California a lab needs a prescription to fix your denture so you have to go to a dentist,who's secretary calls the courier to come take it to the lab,who fixes it,sends it back and she gives it back to you. $212.00,Thank you very much.

So when I got home we had lunch and then went to the pool

As you can see it was very crowded.

Mr Moose found a Cabana again and took it over.

Then he wanted to read with Peg.

                 Then he read a fashion magazine,I don't know why,he runs around nude all the time..

We had a quiet time by the pool then headed home to BBQ,nothing too strenuous you know.

Shopping

Hey! It's only 2 months today till Christmas,but who cares.

Shop Shop Shop till you Drop Drop Drop.

Yup,that's what we did.

Even I like the outlet malls.

We went to the outlet mall and shopped all day.
I got more shit than Peg.
How bout that.

This is not a good picture but I got 7 golf shirts 3 T shirts 2 pairs of shorts and 1pr of Jammies.
Peggy got 6 golf shirts 2 Pair of shorts and 1 pair of runners
Total cost $336.00 or about $16 bucks each

Doin Nothin

Yup! Doin Nothin.
We are at Emerald Desert RV Resort in Palm Desert
The sun is shining and it's in the 80's again.

After a big breakfast we just sat outside and watched the Sprint Cup race.

When that was over(fifth) we headed for the pool.

After the pool some youngins we met from Vancouver stopped buy for a hundred beers before dinner

We then BBQ'd some ribs and stuff and that's about it.

Palmy Palmo

We packed up,said our goodbyes and drove to Palm Springs.

It was a gorgeous day,sun shining and in the mid 80's.

After getting set up we put the top down and went for some grub.

Then it was back home and off to the pool,where the only other people there were from Calgary,AB and Fairview,AB.  Small world.

Nothing much more,just got settled in and watched the truck race and the Nationwide race.

No Rain

Hurray! Hurray!

It stopped raining so we went golfing.

John got us tee times at Menifee Lakes for $15.00 again.

What a country.

The sun popped his head out once in a while but not much.Shirley seemed to play ok,John's putter was really hot,Peggy appeared to play really well but her score was just ok and I totally sucked.

After golf we went to John and Shirley's for an excellent dinner and a wig wag.

Twas a great day

IT'S BACK

 The xoxxozx Rain that is.

Rained all day again.

I was stuck home working all day while someone was out buying new stuff.

Then they went and got their feet done.

Anyway I did get some stuff done that needed doing and it did rain all day and into the night.

Nobody felt like making dinner so we went out.

And we came home in the rain.

Again.

GOLF

The weather looked iffy but we paid the big bucks for the golf game so we thought we had better go.
John got us tee times on line at "click for tee times" $15.00 each for 18 holes c/w power cart-11:30 am

So off we go with Shirley and John.

Mr Moose came also.

He wanted to drive

Then he wanted to chase our feathered friends

Then he thought he had died and gone to heaven when he found the mushrooms till we told him they were not the "magic shrooms"

Finally we found him a job looking after the GPS.

That kept him out of our hair.

While all that was going on Peg just kept on playing.

The rain held off all day so we could finish our game.

Then it was back to our place for veal scaloppini,salad,stuffed tomatoes and fettucini.

A great day was had by all.

Rain

It's happening again-Rain Rain Rain

Not a lot to do in the rain.

Went to Camping World in San Bernardino.

Did ok there.Got out of there for under a hundred bucks.(it is kinda like Costco,we always spend a fortune)

Then it was through the Starbucks drive in.

Got out of there for under a hundred bucks also.

Then it was off to Wally's.

Under a hundred bucks.

But ohhhh! Some of the people.

It's always an experience!
