We are still stuck in this same campground.The other one is supposed to open tomorrow and we are supposed to be out of here today but maybe they won't notice us for 1 more day.Knowing the City of St. Albert they probably won't open on time anyway.
Not a lot of things to report.Went to JP's and got the oil changed in the truck and the car.Washed the truck and the car.Filled up the truck and the car.$1.21.9 a liter.For you Yanks thats $4.61 a gallon for regular.I think that is the most I have ever paid in my life? Not only that but it's our oil.
I guess the good news about the price of oil is that our $ is way more than the US $ now so we have been buying.
Getting this condo renovated is more work that I figured.Doing some of the work myself but have hired a handyman and a painter.
Supposed to rain today and it's still not warm enough with temperatures hovering around the freezing mark at night.
Lots of work to do so must go.

Stuff
The temperature has not gone below freezing for about 3 days now.Maybe we will get some spring and maybe summer will follow.
Our turkey was great,must be the cook.
I have started working on the condo but that is another story.
Tax season will be over this time next week and that will be nice.

I have my new tires on order and they should be here Tuesday.

The dogs have all got haircuts and are freezing their butts off but thats ok cause it is supposed to get warmer this week.

Sonny has been back to the vet for his weekly Diabetes Check.
He started his injections at 2 units twice a day
Now he is at 51/2 units twice a day
this is supposed to be it.

I bought a nice fresh turkey for tomorrow for Peg and I as the last one we had for Christmas in Mexico was smoke and it tasted like shit.

Our teacher asked us what our favorite animal was, and I said, "Fried chicken."
She said I wasn't funny, but she couldn't have been right, because everyone else in the class laughed.
My parents told me to always be truthful and honest, and I am. Fried chicken is my favorite animal. I told my dad what happened, and he said my teacher was probably a member of PETA. He said they love animals very much.
I do, too. Especially chicken, pork and beef. Anyway, my teacher sent me to the principal's office. I told him what happened, and he laughed, too. Then he told me not to do it again.
The next day in class my teacher asked me what my favorite live animal was.
I told her it was chicken. She asked me why, just like she'd asked the other children.
So I told her it was because you could make them into fried chicken.

Tires
So I blew a tire on my truck.
Was on my way to have lunch with a friend and bang-dead tire.
I pull into a hotel parking lot and call Mike who picks me up for lunch.
At the end of lunch 1:40 I called Good Same Emergency Road
Service who tells me the truck will be there in 40 minutes to put on my spare.
After 50 minutes I called back and they said another 20 minutes.
20 minutes later 3pm he was there.
After dicking around forever he says he can not get the plug out which keeps dirt out of the mechanism that lowers the spare.
So we tow it,on a dolly cause it is all wheel drive,to Kal tire who informs me that the tire cannot be fixed(I knew that-it blew)
My truck is 6 years old and has the original tires on it.Goodyear eagles, 20" and fat mounted on chrome.
the spare is a Bridgestone,not so fat mounted on a black wheel.
The long and the short of it is I need 4 new tires at over $400.00 each.
I head to Barry's for beer cause I want to post pone this tire shit till Monday.
It's now 5:20

SNOW
Woke up this morning to a blanket of snow.White shit everywhere.
Had to Drop Sonny off at the vet in Stony Plain then back home to get Peg and drive her to St. Albert as she was afraid to drive in the snow and ice.
I was even a little nervous as it's been years since I have driven in this crap.
I can't believe how these idiots with 4 wheel drive vehicles drive. They may be able to go fast but they can't stop any better than anyone else.Oh well let it be and shut up Rick.
It's back to Stony to get Sonny and back to St Albert to get my honey.
It's 7pm and it is still snowing. WOW!
We are home,safe and warm.
I made stew with fresh French bread.

No one is living in our condo as the brother in law moved to Calgary.
So we think we might as well sell it.
In order to do that it needs a few things-Carpet
-Lino
-3 New appliances
-new light fixtures
- new receptacles and switches
-all new baseboards
-paint
-new door knobs
-new counter tops
-new sinks and taps
-new backsplash
-all new tiles in bath
-cupboards
Whoopee-this is going to be fun.

Busy
Busy Busy
Don't seem to do anything much but am busy
Peg is working every day so there goes sleeping in.she's just not that quiet in the morning.
Got the tv working by going back to Bell Express View.Sure glad I made that investment is Dish Network.
Went to the Bones today but that was a waist of time.
Got an eye exam and ordered new glasses.Another waist of money but a guy has to see(I guess)
The snow is melting pretty fast but that just makes for lots of dirty water but then again the snow is leaving.
Soon we may see some brown grass
And maybe it will stop going below freezing every night.
And maybe not

Satellite TV
So I can't get the damn satellite tv to work.
Cannot seem to find the right satellites only the wrong ones.
Spent hours standing in a puddle in the cold trying to set up the manual dish as all my efforts with the auto one on the roof didn't work.
Same wrong channels with the manual dish.
I did not get to see Kyle come in second on Saturday after leading the most laps,but I went to Peg's office and watched him come in 3rd after leading the most laps yesterday.
Then we went to Wendy & JP's for dinner.
We had some salmon in the fridge and JP had the BBQ so he had to venture out in the cold to cook.

Anyway Peg watched that in the bedroom while I scrambled to find somethings else while playing poker on line.
Then it was off to bed for a good nights sleep.

Sonny has to go out just before 2am.
At 2;20 I get dressed and go looking for him and of course I can't find him and my feet are froze.I warm up my feet,move peg's car out of the way,fire up my uninsured truck cause Peg's car would probably get stuck driving around this place as it is so well maintained.I finally find the little shit,but he won't come when I call him.I don't call too loud as it is now 3am.I scurry home,park the truck and head out on foot to where I spotted him but the SOB is gone.
To Hell with him,let him freeze.If we only have 2 dogs we can get into a lot more campgrounds and we can fly 2 dogs,I'm going back home.
Just as I'm going in the door,guess who saunters home?
Now it's time to get back to sleep.

Back
Yup,We are back in the land of beautiful weather.
NOT!
We arrived Thursday just before 7:30PM.The roads were bare and dry all the way other than twice we drove under a cloud and got 5 min of showers.
We arrived at the campground to find the roads in here snow packed with ice ruts and large lakes in the middle of them.
The spot we got Thursday night turned into a lake so we moved Friday morning to a spot that is not a lake yet.
In the day time it goes above freezing a little but plunges way below at night.YIPEE!
Niece Jill was going up to the river,where we spend our summers,so I got a ride with her in order to get my truck.
