It was "Rainmaker Rodeo" weekend but miracles shall never cease.It did not rain.It was almost a great weekend weather wise,pretty good considering the crap we have been having.
Friday I went to Barry and Jan's for beer.
Saturday a old friend,GR,called as he was working at the rodeo selling beer,so off I went.
Sunday watched a little racing and went to Wendy and JP's for steak.
I'm surprised the midway and the live entertainment did not keep me awake at night as I am camped here on the grounds but I guess that's just another good quality of beer.
I did not notice the midway guys packing up last night which surprised me, but when I looked out the window this morning they are all gone.Nothing left.Nada,Zilch,Zero.
Today I have to get back to working on the condo or it will never be ready to sell.
Not fair,Here I am working my ass of while my wife enjoys the leisurely life.Oops! Don't tell her I said that.Just kidding.Really!

Im Back
I have been unable to access the blog for days.
Some stupid google thing but it seems to be ok now.
Wendy and JP went to Vegas for a wedding last week end so we had the kids.took them to the Telus science center on Saturday and that was a good time.
Sunday we went bike riding through the trails of St. Albert.Great fun till Peggy wanted to go home and I said we could take a short cut.There was soft gravel and I dumped the bike.Hurt my wrist and knee,got a nice bruise and took a chunk out of my leg.

Monday of course we hardly left the house due to the fact that winter has returned.
No snow but total bull shit weather for this time of year.Now it's Thursday and the weather still sucks.
I guess it is supposed to suck as it is Rainmaker rodeo this weekend and I am baching it cause I put Peg on a plane early this morning for Ontario.(Her annual visit)
I was hoping for hot weather as the rodeo is a great place when the weather is good-if you know what I mean?

Update
I think spring has arrived.The sun is out and the temperatures are climbing.Only trouble is the wind has been blowing for about 6 days.
No fires allowed in the whole Province as the fires are raging hell everywhere.They are not too close to us and we do not expect them but who knows.
We have been to Calgary to get some warranty issues looked after but apparently they got the wrong parts so we shall have to try again next month.
The Kinsmen Campground is now open and we are in so at least we are close to everything not stuck out in the middle of nowhere.Hurray!

A local fireman was out cleaning the firetruck when he noticed a little girl with a little red wagon with little ladders hung on the side.She was also wearing a firemans hat and he saw that she had the wagon leashed to her dog"s collar and her cat's testicles.
He said to her "That's a mighty fine fire truck you have there"
"Thank you" she said.
He then said "I don't want to tell you how to run your rig but if you were to tie the leash to the cat's collar rather than his testicles your rig would go faster".
"I know" she said "but then I would not have a siren"

Sunshine
Mr. Sunshine was out today and we finally broke the temperature barrier and for the first time since we have been home we got out the lawn chairs and sat outside.
The view wasn't much but it was nice to be out in the sun.
I called the RV park we want to move to,the one that says call back on the 8th.Well it was the 10th and they told me to call back tomorrow.
Oh yea,forgot to mention the 10th-our anniversary-14 years of bliss.

Wrap Up
Well here it is Sunday already.
Sonny went back to the vet again and again they had to increase his Kin-insulin dosage.
Soon we will just have to attach an IV to a 45 gallon drum of it?
The painter is busy painting the condo and I have been out buying appliances,door knobs etc.
Peggy is still dropping into the office a little but not too much.
Chris was in town this weekend so we had a good visit with him.
It poured most of the day yesterday but the sun is out today.Maybe spring is on the way soon.
The Kinsmen Campground is still not open and their recording says call back on the 8th.That's today and they still have the same recording.

May 1st
Great win for Kyle,3 years in a row he has won this Richmond race.
The campground did not notice that we are still here,but I had to go tell them cause we need to stay another 2 weeks(lucky us)
Fortunately we can stay in the spot we are in so we do not have to move.Yea!
Unfortunately we have to stay.
Just today and tomorrow left of tax season then it's on to spring.Maybe,maybe not.Monday is supposed to be the nicest day of the week and we all have shit to do that day so we will not get to enjoy it.
