Going Home

We leave at the crack of 10am to head home.
Bang
Traffic

Because of an accident,after just over an hour we have travelled just under 11 miles.

Finally we clear the accident and head north through Vegas

We have 2 sick dogs and Peg had fun with Cher in the cold wind.

So here we are spending the night parked by the x0x@# SNOW

Next year we will not be heading back so soon(I hope)

Last Day

It was a beautiful last day here in Palm Springs.In the mud 80's approx 29C,so we spent most of it by the pool.
Then it was back to the coach to start packing up and then out for dinner.
We are starting to feel sad as the weather at home sucks.
The weather forecast for Thursday here is a high of 98F/37C
The forecast for home is a high of 42F/5C

Saturday

So we watched Kyle win another race.

Then the Kimballs came by for a couple before we went to The Crab Pot for dinner
Barry was suffering again so after dinner they went home to rest and Peg and I went to the casino.

What the hell-We had fun,drank too much and stayed out too late.

Friday

Shop,Shop,Shop till you Drop,Drop,Drop
That seemed to be our theme for the day.

I did find my satellite finder and we got wine and scotch to bring home.
We shopped at a golf store that was supposed to have all these great bargains but their prices seemed higher than the pro shops other than the crap they were trying to unload.

Maybe it's a good thing cause we have spent way over our limits this year anyway.

Stuff

Didn't do much on Wednesday.
Peg went for a manicure and pedicure and I went shopping for a satellite finder.Neighbour said he got his at Home Depot but there was no one there that had a clue about what I was talking about.The guy suggested I go to Lowes.
Went to Lowes.
No one there new shit either.They suggested I go to Best Buy.
Went to Best Buy.
After scouring the store forever looking for someone that worked there,finally found a guy that knew exactly what I was looking for but said they do not sell them.They sell satellite systems but not finders.Da!
He suggested I go to Radio Shack but it was not in my GPS so I got lost for a while then went home and drank some beer.
NO finder.

Thursday we went golfing again.Went to Indian Canyon.Great track so nobody played well.Figures?

After golf and a few beers we gorged ourselves at Matchbox Pizza.

Excellent place.

More golfing

We went golfing again on Monday and Tuesday.

I guess we are feeling better.My golf score is not getting any better but we are out there.

Soon we will be home in the snow.YUK

Had dinner at PF Changs last night and ran in to some Highlands people we have not seen in years and if I could remember their names I would tell you.All we can remember is his first name-getting old.

Golfing

Finally made it out golfing on Friday

Been a while since we played with the Kimballs and Barry managed to kick my sorry ass.

It must be cause I am still not feeling that great.

I even went back to see the bones for more drugs.We shall see if that helps.

We just stayed home on Sat and watched Kyle win the race.

Sunday Peg went to the market with the Kimballs but I stayed home to watch Kyle win the race on Sunday too,

Kimballs

The Kimballs arrived today.
We have done nothing since getting to Palm Springs because of illness but we made it over to visit Barry and Jan yesterday.
We had a great visit and managed to suck back a couple before going out for dinner.
We were supposed to go golfing on Thursday but I don't think I am quite ready for 18 holes yet.
We dropped them at the casino when we headed home.
They were going to try and make only a small donation then get to bed and ready for golf.

Pool

We did make it to the pool.

Twas another hot one.Another day of doing nothing.
Peggy is feeling almost normal(well as normal as she can get) and I still have a ways to go but the days are getting better.

Recovery

Peggy is recovering a lot faster than the fat old boy.I don't know if it's my age or that I am a man or maybe I am weaker but I am not getting better as fast as we would like.
So here we are doing nothing in this gorgeous weather.
Today we are going to try and drag my ass over to the pool cause it won't be long till we have to head home to the crappy weather waiting for us there.

Doctors

Finally convinced Peg to go to the doctor on Thursday and I went on Friday.

Anyway,we have done nothing due to sickness,but we are now getting better.

Wow! It's Hot

Peg is still not feeling very good and we would like to take her to the doctor but she is kind of stubborn.
Every morning she says she is feeling better and every night she is not.

We just hung around the pool and soaked up the sun and dipped in the water.

Thursday we have to move across the campsite.

Nothing

Not a lot to report.
Peggy is not feeling that well but she did some laundry and a little cleaning around the joint.

Me,Well I went and had the car washed.Even in Palm Springs it's only $13.99 for a hand wash,dry,vacuum,clean all the windows inside and out,matts,door and trunk sills.I always knew Bubbles was a rip.

I then set up a little outside but not too much as we have to move to a different spot on Thursday.It's very busy here,we were lucky to get in.

Palmy Palmo

As usual we left the track at the crack of eleven-thirty and headed for Palm Springs.

It was the worst wind I have ever driven through.
It started in Vegas and lasted all the way here.
Fortunately it stopped about 11pm and this morning it is finished,the sun is shinning and  it's hot already.
Tomorrows high is 84F/29C and for all you folks at home,that is above zero

Races

Not a good weekend for Kyle

Wrecked by Brad who? on Saturday and a bad tire and then an engine blown on Sunday.

We had fun anyway.

I guess there were other things to look at?

This is Darryl Harr from St Albert where we live.

He wrecked his own car during practice and borrowed this car to run in the Nationwide Race.

The owner needed to save the car so he only let him run a few laps just to get some points.

Qualifying Day

Friday was qualifying day and Peg finally convinced me to part with the cash and get tickets to the Neon Garage.

Dale came back just to see Peg.

It was great to be in the garage area.

Of course Kyle was there also.
