THE PARTY

The party started Saturday afternoon.

Linda had arranged for us to golf but the weather
Turned crappy and we cancelled.

Therefore the party was a little slow getting started with 1/2 in the house watching golf.

And the other 1/2 on the motorhome watching curling.

Of course with old people even you do get started your not really started,are you?

The best surprise was Wendy flying in for the party.

Our host Linda was ready for anything except maybe Mel.

Linda distributed viles of bubble stuff(for blowing bubbles)

Mel thought they were shooters.

So he downed them with a passion.

Much to his surprise it was soap.(I'm sure his mother washed his mouth out a few years ago so he recognized the taste.)

Soon it was time for the cake.

And of course the gifts.

After stuffing our faces we settled in for some Holdem,where Mel took everybody's money except mine.

Wendy got all mine.

I think Birthday girl had a good time?

The Big 60

Peggy says she is not 60 today she is just celebrating her 29th birthday for the 32nd time.

Yes she turned 60 and for that she went for a 1 hour message.She said it was not the kind with "happy endings) but who knows.

We had a pretty quiet day then went out for dinner with the Fishers.

Saturday is the birthday party.

Golf

We went golfing today.

It was great to back back on a golf course.We have not been golfing since November.

I am going to tell you this story even if you don't want to hear it.
It all started at the driving range.I decided to hit a few as it had been over 3 months since i took a swing at a ball.I bought a ball token and got my 30 balls for $5.00.I hit 25 of those balls and never hit 1.Know idea what is wrong.Just then Cy and John pulled up and I asked them to watch me to see if they could see anything.They said that the biggest problem was that I had  taken up the game of golf but they also thought I should keep my head still.
I didn't chip worth a shit all day cause I had no feel but I smacked that ball longer and straighter than I have in 10 years and shot 83 with an 8 and a 7.
So keep your head still.

And of course here we are waiting for them.Imagine that: men waiting on women.

After golf we were met in the clubhouse by Mel,Grace,Al and Donna
Where of course a good time was had by all.

Then it was off to the Organ Stop Pizza joint.
This place is something else.

It has the Worlds Largest Pipe Organ(over 6,000 pipes) plus drums and horns puppets and more.

It is a few stories high and probably holds 700 people.Maybe even more.

Not only that but the pizza was real good

And I guess it has some other attraction too??????

Mr Moose?

Remember Mr. Moose?

Has anyone ever wondered what happened to Mr Moose? We kind if miss him.

The last time we heard from him was last fall.

The top ten reasons we have not heard from Mr Moose are:

10-Hunting Season?

9-Maybe he was abducted by Aliens?

8-Maybe he was kidnapped and because we would not pay the ransom he was murdered?

7-Maybe he ran away?

6-Maybe Ricky Ranger took him back to the park?

5-Maybe they kept him at US Customs?

4-Maybe we ditched him?

3-Maybe he ditched us?

2-Maybe we just lost him?

1-Maybe non of the above?

Busy Day

Was out the door at the crack of noon to get shit done.

First stop,the dumpster to get rid of the garbage.

Speaking of garbage how do you like this money grab....they charge us $18.00 a month for garbage pick up here in the park but the only time they pick it up is Friday morning before 8am.Who the hell gets up that early,old people?

Next stop was the bank cause they say my card has been compromised.They think my card has been duplicated so I have to get a new one.I got a temporary one and will have to pick up the permanent one when we get to Vegas next week.

Next stop.

Finally got around to sending Jeff's razor cord back to him.$11.95.I think it might have been cheaper to buy a new one.

                                                                                   

          Then it was off to the Satellite guy.

Our Sat dome auto switches between sats when you change to a channel that is on a different sat.I want to know what sat each channel is on cause the dome only gets one at a time so you can't watch one sat and record on a different sat using the dome.If I use the dish everything is fine.

Any way I tried the network and they could not help and the dish guy was also useless cause he said they don't care cause I am using after market equipment.

Fine...I will figure this out myself.

And then.....Holy shit what happened to the price of gas?

After the gas shock I went to

We needed mushrooms(no not those).We are cooking dinner at the Fishers tonight for them and the Koch's.

I also had to get buns for dinner and bread for us.

For that I went to the Bakery.

Wow! what a busy day,I must get home and have a beer.

Sun

The good ol Arizona sun is back.

Two days of cloud is awful,we are not used to this.

We went to the outlet mall but there is not much left of it.It's Arizona and everybody is going or already gone out of business.Peggy picked up one outfit and I got diddley squat.

We also picked up a small electric frying pan,whoopee!

We then went to visit some long time clients of Peg's who are staying at another park close to here.
They had beer.

Then it was home for more beer and a BBQ.
The new BBQ is still in the box so I had to use the old one.What a shame.

Daytona 500

A turned 20 year old yesterday rookie named Trevor Bayne won the Daytona 500.

My guy came eighth,Mel owes me 5 Bucks.

Then it was over to Fishers where dinner was good and we played poker.

The sun actually started to shine about 4pm,so maybe our weather will be improving.

Rain

I can't believe it.

The wind blew and the rain pounded down all day.

That's the first day of precipitation we have seen since about last October.
Poor us.I am sure you all feel sorry for us,right?

Just stayed home and watched the Nationwide race.

Tony Stuart won.

Mel and I are even.

Visit

Some friends of ours were in the area so we went to visit them yesterday

Gail and Barry from Chase,BC

Had a nice visit and got caught up on our lies.

Then,after that it was home to relax and watch the truck race.

This crash slowed a few guys down

Our Satellite receiver crapped out today.

I called India to find out they say it is toast.

We now have Dish Network.Couldn't miss any racing this weekend,could we.

Basically we sat around all day because of the tv thing,but we did manage to crash Costco before dinner.
Got a new small bbq for the coach.(My annual fix)

They also have Walmart here.
