Friends

It was another beautiful day so after washing the car,we headed for the pool.

They have a nice pool

With a nice water feature.

Then our friend Driver drove in.

He is just learning to drive the big rig but he is doing pretty good.

He brought his folks with him so while he set up the rig they came to the pool.

Only Peg and Dianne show up in this picture cause Mike turned sideways and you can't see him.

After we had a couple then bbq'd dinner while we caught up.Have not seen them since Whitecourt last month.

No one stayed up that late.

How Time Flys

Here we are still in Osoyoos enjoying the 26C(79F) weather every day.I see the weather at home is probably the best it has been all year also.
We have not been doing a lot of exciting things.

We cooked breakfast outside,BBQ'd our dinners and have been just enjoying life.

Next thing you know we will be getting up at 5am,having our big meal at noon,eating dinner at 4pm and going to bed at 7pm.

What the hell

Lets go to the pool.

This is all not quite true.I spent 3 hours washing the coach and did not get one side done as it is in the hot sun.Peg was cleaning the inside.I also had to go get milk and bread,in the sun with the top down.

Life's tough.

Osoyoos,BC

Holy Crap-3 months from today is Christmas.

Finally got on the computer.

Mr Moose was  on the computer almost all day.

We went looking for a new campground in Osoyoos and finally settled on Walton's.It's a little more money but has all the amenities,is very nice and it is not busy.Not only that but if we do not leave here soon the willows will have rubbed all the paint off the coach.

It was a lot easier getting out of the campground than I thought.Must be due to my great driving skills or maybe having a great navigator.

The weather is awesome and the new campground is great.

After getting set up and making a dash for more beer(wow $50.85 for 24) we had a leisurely afternoon enjoying the sun and reading.The new Kobo's are fantastik.

Later we watched a little Barret Jackson

 Then of course we watched Kyle win another Nationwide race.

Another record set.

Look at this!

While we were outside Mr Moose got into my beer.The bastard.He needs to get a job and buy his own beer. Especially at these prices. 

Oliver,BC

So the Howards left the Cowards at the crack of noon.Again.
Had a great visit and we will find them in the south this winter.
Had a leisurely trip down 97 to Oliver where we found a little campground by some lake.
They said "sure come on down we can handle a 45'er"

Obviously they don't drive one.

We did get it in and settled but we may have to stay here forever as we may not get out.

We plan on staying around here till the first of the month so we are going to look around today to see what else is available.

Our plans were to tour Vancouver Island for the month of September,Obviously we left too late and will not invade the island this year.Looks like they do not have to worry about us till 2012.

Chase BC

Today we travelled almost all the way to Chase BC.
That took just over half an hour.I think that is a new record!Shortest trip ever in one day.
We went to visit Gail and Barry,friends we met along the way last year.

We found a good spot with a view also.

We also went down to the river to watch the salmon run.

I think we were a little early but we did find some.

I took some pictures of the fish in the water but they did not turn out.

Then it was back to the house for some cold ones and a great BBQ

TUESDAY

Washed the car today,could not even see out of the windows.

Does that tell you something?

Yup,the sun was out most of the day.It was nice and warm if you were in the sun and out of the breeze but not warm enough yet.

They don't allow washing of the bus here in the park because?
It might get their gravel wet I guess.Oh dear it is already wet!
Everything is already wet cause it's been raining since Larry King was born.

And another thing:Beware of BC Liquor stores,Holy Shit Batman!
Bought some beer,only $48.65 a case,Glenfiddich $57.00 a bottle,WOW
I pay $38.00 in Whitecourt and $27.00 at Trader Joe's in CA.

Didn't buy ant scotch cause I have 2 more bottles stashed in the basement.(not just another pretty face you know.

Ok,ok, after all that ranting we headed over to Bev and Wayne's new house where Peg's other cousin Sheila came over also but she had to leave before dinner because her daughter had a hankering for "Wendys"
We got the best of that deal,Had a great meal and some chit chat with their son Josh.

Soon it was time to head home as it was getting dark and Peg does not see very good to drive in the dark.Peg is my designated driver and I am the seeing eye dog.More dog than seeing.(we had to stop once cause I saw a very inviting tree).

Kamloops

We were up and on the road at 7;30 this morning. Wow
Travelled 14 minutes down the highway before we saw another vehicle.Wow
When we got to Clearwater we had cell service and internet so we pulled over and made coffee and relaxed as we usually do in the morning.
Not wanting to make breakfast we decided to have a leisurely one at the restaurant,then we headed for Kamloops.
We arrived early afternoon and got settled in.
And guess what? You got it.It stopped raining but Still no sunshine

Peggy's cousin Bev and her husband Wayne came by for a visit and even brought dinner.

That's my kind of cousin.

We had a couple,yapped it up,ate,yapped it up some more and agreed to go to their place tomorrow.

YES WE ARE ON THE ROAD

It was time to get ready and Mr. Moose seemed to think he could navigate this bus but we booted him out of the cockpit.

We thought we would get away early but as usual we left at the crack of eleven.Oh well!

The good news is that we are on the road.

The bad news is that it only took a few miles to catch up with the rain.

Then west of Edson we ran into that white shit called snow.

That was a thrill,and it lasted on into Jasper.

We thought maybe when we got to BC it would be different but guess what?

Yup it has been raining since we got here.

Spent the night on a side road by a gas station(oh ya-$111.9 per/liter)no internet,no satellite,no cell service-no shit

They did have nice bears though.

ON THE EVE OF LEAVING-Saturday

I THINK WE MIGHT BE LEAVING TOMORROW,MAYBE!

Last night we had a couple with Dale and Karen and said our good byes.
We picked up 7 months worth of medicine for the mutts,me and Peg,plus we bought medical insurance.Wow! that was not cheap.
We also acquired a new passenger for the trip.

He will be travelling with us this year and has already riden in the car.

We also went to Wendy's for the last supper before checking out of here.

Almost Leaving

We are still here.The sun is shining and there is not a cloud in the sky.
But it was way below freezing last night so the park has turned off the water,what a bunch of pussies.
We shall survive.
Yesterday was oldest son Jeff's birthday.I will not say how old he is cause that might be a hint on how old I am.
We took him,Ashley,Hunter and Zander  out for dinner and there was a good birthday picture of him but it seems Ashley won't send it to me so I can not post it.
We remembered the camera but the battery was dead.Apparently we are doomed when it comes to pictures.Did get a couple of the boys.

Everybody likes ice cream even when it is below freezing.

BACK IN EDMONTON

Well here we are back in Edmonton and the weather is just xoxo*z lovely.

Tomorrow they say we will have a high of 8c and a low of -6(43f and 21f) Eeeeeek!

Speaking of Eeeeeek-I bought a new mouse today.How's that for excitement?
Top that Batman! Ok I'm loosen it.Must be the weather.

Also bought a couple of Kobo's today.For you that are not savvy they are the new e readers.We shall see how that works out.They each come with 100 classic books already loaded on them,one of which is War and Peace.Somehow I don't think I will be able to get through that one.

Calgary

Well here we are in Calgary,well not exactly,we are in Balzac.
A town just out side of Calgary where we bought our coach.Bucars RV Center,"Worlds Best Service Department".If you are in this area and need service go see Paul and tell him I sent you.(I am looking forward to getting my cheque in the mail)
Anyway the weather here is just as horrible as in Edmonton.Rain and cold,almost winter.Total CRAP!

Chris,youngest son,came over and we went out for dinner.Had a great visit & now we will not see him til Mexico.
Once again we forgot the camera.Are we getting old or what?

I think it's going to snow.WTF

We have an extra camera we keep in the car at all times so we always have one.
Forgot to put it in the car. Duh
We have another meeting this morning then one tomorrow,then we might be able to take off but we will have to wait and see.
